The guy says whatever forecast models he is referencing are calling for +1 meter of rain falling on and around Chengdu between this Wednesday and Friday.

Friday night’s going to be something, after a widespread 39 inches of rain has fallen over three days in the upper lands feeding into the dam’s reservoir.
I’m not going to over prepare this time....still using supplies bought in the dark ages of bammy....finnaly got thru my 150 cans of tuna fish...
Please pray for the safety of the ordinary Chinese threatened by this flooding.
These people are not their government. Truth be told, they are its primary victims.

Hmmm. 500 million young men looking to military service as a link to relevance; not to mention 2 or 3 daily “squares, and a flop”. Bible prophecy mentions an army of 200 million rushing across the Euphrates River and into the ME one day soon. These things happening in China make that scenario look a lot more imminent. Things are looking more and more sinister. Even so, come back quickly, Lord Jesus. Amen.

I can’t think of one nation that is “right” with God at this moment in time. What is even more scary is that nobody is really trembling or donning sackcloth and ash either.
Local water officials open floodgates on dams in the middle of the night. People go to bed everything is just raining, they wake up extra early to find their furniture floating around. If they have a second floor they go there. The evacuations happen after the water is flooding. They are not warned in advance. This is both upstream and downstream of the 3 gorges dam.
It’s going to be worse than furniture floating around.
One problem with the 3 gorges dam, of many, is that cities upstream of the dam are at a level below the high water mark. The dam caps at something like 180 meters, and lately the water level has been around 165 meters. Upstream cities and towns are around 160 meters. I don’t think they have ever had it up to 175 meters since they built it.
In order to keep the dam from overtopping, they open the floodgates, but the outflow is about half what the inflow is. They have had a couple of days where the rain has been light, but 8 of the next 14 days are expected to be rainy. By Wednesday or Thursday this week, they expect a system to drop as much as a meter of rain over a period of 2 to 3 days. That’s over 3 feet.
