Dont bet on it. It’s ok to use force in defense of someone elses life. Who can say when the Antifa/BLM or whatever he was would stop shooting.

you should see the image they are showing on all the networks

HE WAS A WHITE ANGEL!!!

In an image with a pretty darker gal, which was this image was used. To show how much he was down with the movement.

No, he was a stupid piece of white trash.

And now he’s a dead piece of white trash.

Don’t feel bad for the parents. I’m quite sure they had something to do with the way he ended up.

1 down. Several million to go.

"The driver’s big mistake was not calling 911 right after. DA’s love to use that one."

Driver did call 911 immediately after.

"Manley said that driver who shot Foster called 911 to report that someone had pointed a gun at his vehicle and that he fired at the person pointing the gun, according to KVUE. Chief Manley says that the driver shot first, which he says came after Foster pointed his gun at the driver."

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. 50 days of protesting with a rifle is challenging the odds.

Looks like doing anything with Good Morning America will kill you. Lesson learned. Don’t talk to them.

After basic-training in 1977...I was left with five general rules of handling rifles which are glued into my mind decades later. One of those rules was ‘don’t point the weapon unless you intend to shoot it’. Once this idiot leveled the weapon at the guy in the car...his life was measured in seconds.

I would imagine that the BLM guy never spent a day in the military or ever handled a rifle much in his entire life.

Totally agree. If the car was leaving, then there is no way the 2nd shooter could believe his life was in danger.

If the car was leaving, the 2nd shooter stood in front of the car because the 2nd shooter was an idjit just like the first protestor, then his life was put into mortal danger by himself and no one else. We all know not to stand in front of moving vehicles because they could possibly kill us as they run over us. Common sense is not strong with this one. It is not.

From the Gofund me:

Garrett Foster was murdered last night July 25th while attending a peaceful protest in Austin, TX with his disabled fiancée in her wheelchair. An unknown vehicle barreled into the crowd and this evil person shot and killed Garrett, while he was trying to protect his fiancée. A great person was taken away from his fiancée, his mother, father , siblings and a host of loving family members. He fought against injustice , served in the military and was fiercely protective of his fiancée. They fell in love at 17 and were never apart. This fund is established to cover funeral , burial and other expenses in the days to....

Family of armed protester shot to death remember him as a “champion of justice”
by Tristan BalagtasSunday, July 26th 2020

“Honor Garrett: Fight for Black Lives, Justice for Garrett”: just what some of the signs read at a vigil remembering 28-year-old Garrett Foster. Foster – a familiar face at Austin’s Black Lives Matter protests, according to his family.

“His wife, being African-American and he being a champion of justice and wanting to make sure that all people are treated fairly and equally, he was at those protests diligently to express his views against police brutality,” said Foster’s Aunt Karen Sourber.

Although he’d been to more than 50 protests in recent months, Saturday’s protest on the streets of downtown Austin would end differently for Foster. He was gunned down just before 10 P.M. on South Congress Avenue. As protesters filled the streets, witnesses say a car plowed through the crowd. APD Chief Brian Manley says Foster was shot shortly, after.

“Mr. Foster, who was holding an AK-47 type assault rifle, approached the driver side window, as other people in the crowd started to strike the vehicle,” said Manley. “Gunshots were fired from inside the vehicle at Mr. Foster.”

On viewer video sent to CBS Austin, you can hear the moment those shots were fired.

Disturbing footage and heartbreaking news for Foster’s mom, who was too distraught to speak about her son. Sourber says that her sister, Sheila Foster is reeling from the loss.

“She collapsed,” said Sourber. “Of course. I’m a mom of three and I’ve literally told God, ‘Don’t ever do this to me, don’t ever take one of my children,’ and to see my sister go through it – it’s the worst thing, ever.”

Manley says the individual who shot Foster called 911 and admitted to pulling the trigger, but that he did so only after Foster pointed his rifle at him, first.

Police say another person returned fire at the vehicle. Both individuals have been questioned by police and released, pending further investigation.

The family has set up a GoFundMe to help with funeral expenses: https://www.gofundme.com/f/official-garrett-foster-memorial-fund

The Travis County Medical Examiner’s office will be carrying out an autopsy to determine Foster’s cause and manner of death, Manley said.

Cause of death...Covid-19, exacerbated by an underlying condition of terminal stupidity.

There are some legit comparisons that can be made - there are responsible liberal gun owners who are big 2A supporters and may open carry, but this case doesn’t work as equivalence.
