I thought climate only changed in the 2nd half the 20th century??

Climate change has been busy on this planet since long before the ice age.
Took a big study to figure all that out, eh?
Some evil person must have used a time machine to give the dinosaurs filthy, polluting cars. There can be no other explanation.
It’s kind like old Sam said, may god rest his irreverent soul;
“You know, we’ve been coming here giving you food for about 35 years now and we were driving through the desert, and we realized there wouldn’t BE world hunger if you people would live where the FOOD IS!
But it took a study to figure it out. Academia= Educated Idiots.
And this is important because?
The hunters gathered up the farmers’ daughters.
Do we really need a study to show that if things get uncomfortable in one place, for whatever reason, they’ll look to move elsewhere, especially a people that’s nomadic to start with?
A more interesting study would have been on why are there people living in the harsh climes of Alaska, Siberia, the deserts of Africa and Arabia? Why didn’t those people move?
Might even be true, just as it’s true that man is powerless to control the climate.
I’m thinking neolithic farmers also migrated southwest, finally arriving at the fertile Nile, displacing whatever hunter-gatherers might have been there, and starting Egyptian civilization.
A good lesson for all of those farmers driving gas guzzlers back in 6100 B.C. Some things never change.
Well yeah, colder less desirable climate for growing would have an adverse affect on growing migration to those regions. But climate was probably not the motivation for migration. Even today people migrate for climate reasons, in addition to other reasons. Seems like a really lame study to me.
Us old timers used to call them droughts!!!
Huh? Climate has changed before? I’ve been told it’s a recent phenomenon due to using fossil fuels. What a fool I’ve been. Does this mean the Polar Bears are going to survive?
I wonder how much money it cost these clowns to discover that farming cultures would migrate to more suitable climates for better yield?
Well, Duh.
They should never have been driving SUVs, I’m telling ya.
Just proves we aren’t the first “modern” humans to inhabit the planet. Those guys had evil fossil burning vehicles too. And, just like we’re doing now they destroyed the planet way back then. We now have the proof.
That's not the same things as saying that this was the first time that climate change affected human migration. There were people ("anatomically modern humans" as well as Neanderthals) living in parts of Europe before the Last Glacial Maximum, in places which were later under ice caps, so all the people left until the glaciers melted.
