No, you misapply. Apparent is an observation in both cases. A broken leg can be confirmed by hard evidence, but that spokesman was saying it was hard evidence based on the extent of their knowledge but acknowledging their knowledge may not be complete. I happen to think their knowledge is extensive.

Mostly agree but in my experience, not so easy to say: I’m a former A-10 and F-15E fighter pilot. FAC in Gulf War I. In OH-58 helo at about 50’. Mid day. Saw huge circular shadow flying about 800-1000kys, coming from southeast to northwest. Very sharp shadow indicating it must be close to the ground. Zipped by us and disappeared as it flew away. Never saw what Made the shadow.
Weird.
Pilot and I continued tooling along and saw the shadow coming back on reverse course. So, being aggressive pilots like we are, we flew an intercept course and as we closed the shadow instantaneously stopped! We reflexively banked to go to it and after we turned it instantaneously was at 800-1000kts. Disappeared to the southeast.
Instantaneously stopping and starting like that and normally your body would explode.
We have no idea what made the dark, sharp-edged shadow.
We landed and couldn’t tell enough people about what we saw.
The brigades intel guy interviewed us. He wrote a book, “Reading the Enemy’s Mind” where our experience was published.
Why reveal any of the now?
Who is the intended recipient of these well times messages? Are we telling China, “Your hypersonic missiles mean nothing to us, we have Captain Space Guy and his Buck Rogers Ray weapons.”
I am sure if alien space craft were dropping out of the skies they would fall equally all over the planet. The Russians and Canadians would have more of a chance of getting them than the US.

My belief that the same technology that enables interstellar travel enables time travel. How much more likely is it that archeologists from distant millennia would travel back in time to figure out WTF went wrong? It might be interesting to correlate the frequency of UFO sightings with seminal events to prove my theory.

UFOs can only exist as physical and biological entities only in the world of science fiction. The shadows you saw have a worldly explanation.

Since Communists, by their very definition, do not believe in God, or any religious affiliations at all, they do ‘believe’ in alien civilizations as a very likely possibility. The Soviets did and so do many others, not politically motivated.
If the leadership thought that we had contact with aliens and were in possession of alien technology, they would think twice about any military moves against us, not knowing what we had available to our military capabilities.................
