I used to box, and now train, and I saw a video of Tyson at this age in the gym. The man is still a beast and would beat more boxers today
Tyson was the hardest puncher I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately, after his manager died he went rapidly downhill.
And Roy Jones didn’t look so hot when he was knocked out by Enzo Maccarinelli 5 years ago. Of course, Maccarinelli was only 35 and 10 years Jones’ junior, but Maccarinelli was still past his prime and retired after he was knocked out 6 months later. Maccarinelli was a good puncher as a cruiser, but there’s a bit of a difference between “good cruiserweight puncher” and “Mike Tyson.” And did Roy Jones knock out anyone noteworthy above 168 other than Montel Griffin?
On the other hand, Jones has had more than twenty professional fights since Tyson retired.
If they actually go at it, I doubt this goes 8 rounds. Should be fun to watch.
