Do you travel a lot in this ‘field’ work? Different states?
The reason I ask is because I did the same for many years, at least 20. I think I’ve missed six states. I believe this strengthened my body’s overall resistance. I never get sick anymore.
That or beer . . .
Same here. I go to stores, the beach, condo, restaurants. My daughter drives ambulance with covid 19 patients. She and my SIL live with me. My SIl does construction in a nursing home. I have 6 children here. my granddaughters boyfriend works at olive garden. My RN nurse daughter has visited several times as has her fireman husband. With the exception of my medical family at work and the olive garden employee, none of us have worn masks.
Not one of us has gotten sick.
Because you are Superman?
I think I had it the beginning of January. I was sick for two weeks, which never happens to me. Had a dry cough, a slight Fever for a couple of days and I just felt crummy.
If and when I get sick, which hardly ever happens (outside of my having Chronic Leukemia for the past 15 Years), I get over it in a few days. This was different.
No one I know has had it.
It is the thing that saddens and depresses me more than anything: that so many people, including family and friends that Ive known for decades, are moronic, fearful, intellectually lazy sheep. It is frightening to see how easily fooled and manipulated they all are.
I’m about the same. When the lockdown started, I shifted from managing small customer events in the building supplies industry to working in our distribution warehouse on a 2-3 month project. I got to know the warehouse staff very well.
When I’m not doing that, I’m also visiting jobsites. Yesterday, I taught a training class for about 30 men in a fairly small room.
I wash my hands a bit more frequently but rarely wear a mask. Only in stores and after being told to.
“And drinking from the garden hose.”
Hose water is nasty, but we learned the hard way.
“I wish that were true across the board. At my workplace, everyone did all the right things and a bunch of us still got sick. I had to cancel vacation to help cover for sickies in my department.”
Just out of curiosity, what did you guys do? Did you wear masks (at least surgical grade) full-time at work, or did you guys try to rely on ‘social distancing’ (hint, that doesn’t work). In May, Taiwan (accidentally) dumped several dozen infected people into their nearly disease-free society and not a single person picked it up...but then they all wore masks, even the ones that were sick.
One of my friends here in Houston just died of Covid, so you must be one of the lucky ones to have some immunity.
Give me a break. Nobody knows how the virus works/who is immune/etc. this is like someone saying hey why am I not getting the plaque? It must be fake! back in 1350 during the Black Plague outbreak
With so much msm gaslighting now-a-days, it’s important to take in anecdotal information. Add it to the info mix.
Masks, temperature checks, hand sanitizer, social distancing in break rooms and smoke shacks (tables and chairs removed) and partitions between work stations.
The other technician, who was on another line, got sick first.
Praying I don’t get sick before DD’s wedding Aug. 8
