“and a contributor to Jacobin Magazine...”
Must have been a real winner.

For what it's worth, here is the
Wikipedia article on Jacobin magazine.
Pure subversive stuff.

From the pen of Jonathan Edwards in
Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God: It implies, that they were always exposed to sudden unexpected destruction. As he that walks in slippery places is every moment liable to fall, he cannot foresee one moment whether he shall stand or fall the next; and when he does fall, he falls at once without warning: Which is also expressed in Surely thou didst set them in slippery places; thou castedst them down into destruction: How are they brought into desolation as in a moment? (Psalm 73:18-19)

From the Wikipedia article:
In late 2016, Jacobin's editorial team unionized, including a total of seven full- and part-time members. An associate editor and co-chair of the union explained that Jacobin had only recently had enough full-time members to warrant unionization.
I don't understand why they couldn't unionize with less than seven employees.
What kind of "progressives" are these? ;-)

On July 20, 2020, Brooks died unexpectedly at the age of 37.[2][3] His death was announced via a press statement, which cites his cause of death as a “sudden medical condition”.
Man in his late 30’s seems to have never worked a day in his life.
A good news note to end the day on.

Dead is good, even for some theoretical halfwit.
I did go to elementary school with a really nice guy of the same name but he was sane and a patriot. Also his sister was a real beauty and very nice.
