George Floyd and Proning

Those who believe that George Floyd was "killed" by the cops need to understand something.

I found this little tidbit while looking up some COVID stats:

This Article explains how a technique called "proning" is helping COVID patients with their breathing problems.

What it is? It's simply putting a person on their stomach and turning their head to the side. In this way it allows them to breathe easier.

From the article:

Why does proning work? Flipping a patient on their stomach helps respiration because “oxygenation (getting more oxygen into the blood) is easier in the prone position," says Dr. Stewart. It's a function of anatomy, as the human body has more lung tissue in the back of the body than in the front. The coronavirus causes abnormal fluids and secretions to pool toward the back, where there's more lung tissue, and leads to greater interference with lung function. “When a patient is in the prone position, gravity helps the secretions move downward, so more of the ‘good’ lung is on top and therefore less affected,” Harry Peled, MD, a medical director in critical care at St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, California, tells Health.

Now ask yourself...what position was George Floyd in when he died? They had him on his stomach with his head turned and were keeping him there by holding him down. In other words, they were doing EXACTLY what they should have been doing when someone is claiming that they are having trouble breathing.

Yet another reason that I'm sure defense lawyers are going to point out. They took steps to SAVE his life by having him on his stomach. Not take it.

As someone who actually prones patients he is correct. It is done in special beds that allow the patient to be face down without the head turned and padding all the pressure points is key. Your ability to google does not equal medical education and experience.

If the cop had shot him in the head you would see just as much twisted logic justifying it.

He had drugs up his anus. He had COVID. He was foaming at the mouth from the start. He was behaving erratically from the start. He wasn't complying to repeated instructions. The cops called paramedics long before he was on the ground. He DIED while he was in police custody. The cops didn't kill him so your example is using false logic.

police are first responders trained in cpr. they waited for an ambulance and did not render aid. I have no idea if it was racism or another motive. You may defend the indefensible if you like. I will not.

How about an actual proning procedure guide?

https://www.moh.gov.sa/Ministry/MediaCenter/Publications/Documents/Prone-position-guidelines.pdf In this it specifically says that the head can be turned left or right. That's what all the google pictures show as well.

As far as surfaces, yes, in a clinical setting of course they're going to use beds and pillows and not put them on the floor. However you've shown me nothing "official" that says that a proning on a hard surface when there's no other alternative would not have any benefits.

They did what they could with a guy that took a mountain of drugs. Whatever they did or did not do sure as heck isn’t murder.

They weren’t charged with not rendering aid, as you maybe already know.

It only takes one sensible juror........

Do you know if all of their CPR certifications were up to date? Would they pull people from patrol if they weren't or would they allow them to be on patrol? I agree that it would have APPEARED better if they did CPR but he was't going to live no matter what. They didn't have the resources right there to combat a massive drug overdose.

Floyd was murdered by an employee of the Sinoloa cartel.

Floyd was also an employee of the Sinoloa cartel.

It was an inside job.

Floyd was a porn actor, drug smuggling, multi felon, and died of a drug overdose. Can we agree with that basic fact.

Was he in porn movies
He had a lethal amount of fentanyl in him
He had other drugs like meth, pot, alcohol ... in him
He had drugs shoved up his butt
He was a very big 6’6” 280 pound dude that was known to the cops as a repeat felony offender
The passenger in his car who complied with the police survived with no issues
He asked to lay on the ground
He was experiencing medical issues before the police got there.
Would be alive if kept in prison where he belonged.
Was a opportunity for democrats to continue their war on us normal people (Deplorables)

True or not.

Have no idea. Point is that both the cop and Floyd worked for the Cartel. The Cartel has very strict enforcement rules. Floyd was passing fake 20’s around. The cartel was running a drug and money running operation out of a nightclub in Minneapolis. Both Floyd and the cop were running security.

Both were dirty.

How do you know the cop was dirty? Did you read that on the internet somewhere?

Early on, the Minnesota press released that info.

Since then, it has been cleansed. No more info avail.

"What does the autopsy report say he died of?"

According to Dr. Michel Badin, Floyd died of Mechanical Asphyxia. The Chinese flu was a contributing factor causing Floyd's lungs to deliver insufficient oxygen to his blood. What oxygen that was being delivered to his blood from his lungs was being further compromised as it flowed into his brain. This came with Officer Chauvin's knee compressing his right carodid artery. That compression was what Dr. Baden called Mechanical Asphyxiation. This was further compromised when Officer Kueng was holding him down, compressing his lungs from free breathing. Then, you have to consider the condition of Floyd's heart. After years of drug addiction, his heart was not healthy. Floyd had high blood pressure. The Meth that Floyd was taking, caused his heart to race and his blood pressure to go higher, even when it was not getting enough oxygen. A heart racing on Meth is not what you want a heart to do when it is being deprived of oxygen.

The brain, due to lower oxygen levels caused by Officers Kueng and Chauvin, was signalling the lungs to lower respiration as well as the action of fentyanal which also lowers respiration. With compromised lungs, due to the virus, you do not want lower respiration levels to deliver low oxygen to the brain stem (where respiration is controlled). The result is the stopping of breathing. With the heart racing from meth, you don't want to stop breathing. The heart stopped because of lack of oxygen when the lungs failed.

Are you trolling ? Seriously obtuse?

No. The one does not apply to the other. Proning a person is a treatment for severe lung impairment, ARDS, pneumonia, where gas exchange is compromised.

A sudden respiratory distress is usually cardiac in adults, although there are many other possibilities, but these patients generally feel better and do better sitting to semi reclined. Any EMT, nurse or doctor would be in deep trouble for forcing a cardiac patient prone.

And putting the weight of three men on someone in respiratory distress - does that make any sense to you?

References -- Any basic physiology textbook, if you are really interested, anesthesia guide to surgical procedures, prone position. West et al, Principles of pulmonary physiology and gas exchange. Prone is used in salvage ventilation when Pa/Fi gradient is <100:1 despite maximal ventilatory support. I am sure that the victim had a >200:1 Pa/Fi ratio because he was walking and talking -- you are really an idiot. Look up any basic medical education and prone view -- the head should be kept neutral for laminar airflow and to avoid blindness or skin breakdown. I am coming from the most prestigious of medical institutions, you refer to google. Cant really be much more pathetic than that The police violated basic tenants of being human. The cop knelt on the victims neck for longer than 2.5 minutes after he became unresponsive. The toxicology report does not support the police doing what they did. They did not do CPR because the failed to recognize that they had killed the victim You have NO IDEA what you are talking about... Have a good evening and good luck. By good luck, I mean F*ck off, moron. You are not worth the time to educate. As you cannot be educated.

I enjoy being lectured to by some jackass who looks up google when I have literally phoned thousands of people safely. He should look up prone view — but he will no doubt come up with some google article that says differently.

What a yutz.

According to Dr. Michel Badin, Floyd died of Mechanical Asphyxia.

He never examined the body. He is the Dr. hired by the family after the REAL autopsy said that George Floyd died of heart failure.

According to the linked here REAL autopsyM(NOT the leftist narrative you're quoting) Floyd had heart disease and high blood pressure. He had meth and fenatyl in his system. He sustained NO life threatening injuries from the police. The report on his neck says:

"NECK: Layer by layer dissection of the anterior strap muscles of the neck discloses no areas of contusion or hemorrhage within the musculature. The thyroid cartilage and hyoid bone are intact. The larynx is lined by intact mucosa. The thyroid is symmetric and red-brown, without cystic or nodular change. The tongue is free of bite marks, hemorrhage, or other injuries. The cervical spinal column is palpably stable and free of hemorrhage. "

You are carrying water for the left on this one.
