FWIW, I mostly left FR when about three people appointed themselves the thread police. They ran off a lot of Freepers, including me, for several years. I never got into it with them, just got tired of seeing them tag team and run people off.
I was gone from here for, I think, about five years. Came back when I found the Q threads.
Frankly, I see the Q thread as the essence of early FR. We are charting the unpopular territory in a way, and the mainstream does not accept that. Wondering if beyond the trees, FR is becoming mainstream.
The masses should never control the narrative. Not that others are always right, but others should get their say, per the first amendment of the US constitution.

I was a lurker for a long time, I used to post a lot. Now participating in here much more thanks to the Q threads. I told JR that I would make a contribution once my account got reactivated. Once my parents estate is settled I’ll be sending him a considerable one. I’m glad he lets us do this.
