The Constitution’s command to count “every person” as part of the Census is not ambiguous and not optional.

Yep-they are being counted. Doesn't mean they can't be categorized into appropriate groups.

Besides, this is NOT the language of the constitution nor amendment 14.

-NO law abridging the privileges of the citizens and equal protection is allowed.

-Right to vote in Federal Elections if in any way abridged, the “basis of representation therein shall be reduced in the proportion” ie ratio to the whole number of citizens of voting age.

I would say that counting illegals is disenfranchising and abridging the rights of the citizens to appropriate representation in Congress-and hence the illegals should not be counted in the apportioning of representatives.

IANAL and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn either.
