Polar bears will be wiped out by the end of the century unless more is done to tackle climate change, a study predicts.
Scientists say some populations have already reached their survival limits as the Arctic sea ice shrinks.
The carnivores rely on the sea ice of the Arctic Ocean to hunt for seals.
As the ice breaks up, the animals are forced to roam for long distances or on to shore, where they struggle to find food and feed their cubs.
The bear has become the “poster child of climate change”, said Dr. Stephen Molnar of the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada.
“Polar bears are already sitting at the top of the world; if the ice goes, they have no place to go,” he said. […]
Under a high greenhouse gas emissions scenario, it’s likely that all but a few polar bear populations will collapse by 2100, the study found. And even if moderate emissions reduction targets are achieved, several populations will disappear. …

Every election year they trot out polar bears, reparations, and abortion rights. This year they have added COVID-19, ANTIFA and BLM.
I’m sure the polar bears eat well, what with all the Greenpeace ships getting stuck in the ice...
The Polar Bears haven’t been cooperating. They have been breeding like rabbits. Apparently there is not much to do during those long Arctic nights.
Well ok. None of us will be around by then so who cares.
I’ve seen Jim Shockey on the Outdoor Channel interview older Inuit people and they say there are more polar bears now than they have ever been.
Of course they pick a date 80 years out, when just about everyone who can read this article now will be dead and unable to tell them how wrong they were.
Since it was warmer in ancient times before people were recording the weather and warmer than now in the Medieval Warm Period, I’m sure the polar bears will continue to survive, since they surely weren’t killed off during Medieval times. I say that only because we still have them around.
And the problem is?
Are they going to bring back the dinosaurs too?
Millions of spices have been wiped out in the history of this earth so what?

Doesn’t projected time for polar bear extinction disagree with politically correct global warming countdown clock propaganda?
Even if it happend during my lifetime I wouldn’t care. Polar bears have never affected my life in any way before.
Further more, they will never go extinct anyways. Plenty of them in zoos to breed from.
What about their White privilege?
