How Affirmative Action Screwed Up Michelle Obama
American Thinker ^ | 14 Jul, 2020 | Jack Cashill

Posted on 07/14/2020 7:09:53 AM PDT by MtnClimber

In 1985, Michelle Obama presented her senior thesis in the sociology department of Princeton University. Although Michelle drew no such conclusion, the thesis is a stunning indictment of affirmative action. Those who benefited from it, Michelle most notably, may never recover from its sting.

Her thesis reads like a cry for help. "I have found that at Princeton no matter how matter how liberal and open-minded some of my white professors and classmates try to be toward me," she writes, "I sometimes feel like a visitor on campus; as I really don't belong."

She didn't. Michelle should never have been admitted to Princeton. Thanks to the "numerous opportunities" presented by affirmative action, however, Princeton is where she found herself. "Told by counselors that her SAT scores and her grades weren't good enough for an Ivy League school," writes biographer Christopher Andersen, "Michelle applied to Princeton and Harvard anyway." Sympathetic biographer Liza Mundy writes, "Michelle frequently deplores the modern reliance on test scores, describing herself as a person who did not test well."

She did not write well, either. She even typed badly. Mundy charitably describes the thesis as "dense and turgid." The less charitable Christopher Hitchens observed, "To describe [the thesis] as hard to read would be a mistake; the thesis cannot be 'read' at all, in the strict sense of the verb. This is because it wasn't written in any known language."

A customer’s wife worked at a law firm in Chicago.
They hired Jesse Jackson Jr straight out of U of IL law school.
He was given a corner office and a six figure salary.
He was introduced around to everyone.

She never saw him again. He collected a salary. He just never came into the office again. Never practiced law. Then he became a US Congressmen. Served seven years and was indicted and went to jail. God bless America.

Jesse Jackson Jr’s job was probably to bring the firm work to the firm from corrupt public officials and companies who wanted to do business with the City of Chicago.

“into Harvard due to a $10 million gift from the Saudi Royal family”

This is actually the first I had heard of this. it makes sense. Obviously, somebody pulled some strings to get him in to there and Columbia. Where did you read this or get this information?

I do recall Michelle Obama going to the hospital of some Saudi young prince that was injured in the Boston Marathon bombing. I think he was a student at some Boston college/university at the time of the bombing.

Jesse Jr never even sat for the Illinois Bar exam. He was never officially a lawyer.

He was there as a payoff to his dad’s Rainbow Coalition.

Then he ran for US Congress from the IL 2nd district(now infamous for the amount of young black mem getting shot & killed every weekend). The south side of Chicago. Where the Blues Brothers were from. Jake and Elwood. Leroy Brown too.

IMHO, this factor plays into what ails our Nation and society to a profound degree...We are overloaded with this type of person...Call ‘em “Fredos”...Moochelle is a poster girl for the Dunning Kruger Effect...

“The Dunning-Kruger effect is a type of cognitive bias in which people believe that they are smarter and more capable than they really are. Essentially, low ability people do not possess the skills needed to recognize their own incompetence.” from Cognitive Psychology

Why they tend to gravitate to the degree programs like Underwater Basket Weaving or the ones you’ve listed and others like them...STEM programs are “too hard”, demand intellectual rigor and self discipline, and would naturally weed them out...Not to mention the scary proposition of actually having to serve and produce something worthwhile for their fellow human beings...The horror!

“AA= Is structural racism.”

Government sponsored racism. The diplomas/certificates/licenses/what have you of anyone who benefited from AA should be stamped as such in big bold red letters for the public to see and decide if they want to take a chance.

"Black Jive Matters" Would love to see some of the BLM street murals changed to that!!

Yes. It wouldn't take much doctoring, either:

1. Black L matter.

In ebonics, you would leave the "s" off of "matters" anyway. Hence, "Black Jive Matter."

I kinda HTMLd my post to death.

Anyway, the idea was to scratch the “L”, or just its tail, and convert the stem to a “J”. Then scratch the “s”. Voila! “Black Jive Matter”.

I know. It’s perverse an childish.

For years UC Berkley accepted affirmative action students with low SAT scores. Their graduation rate was very low. When they changed their admissions standards and only accepted students with better scores the graduation rate greatly improved.

Liberal do-gooders actually hurt the AA admits. They throw these poorly prepared students into classes where they have no chance to succeed. They flunk out and return home as losers. Had they gone to a less selective school they might have done very well.

"The media was falling over themselves to talk about how intelligent he was and he was a great speaker."

I remember that very well. Including the Time (or Newsweek?) cover with a pic of St Obama with a halo over his head. It was indeed tortuous listening to him droning on and on for 8+ years. Glad the SOB is out of the Oval Office.

It translates to "huurh uughghhhgh uughguughhhghghghhhgh huuguughghg aaahnruh huuguughghg uuh uughguughhhghghghhhgh"

Forcing blacks to intellectually compete with whites will do that to you.
