Florida Woman Claims To Be A Doctor In Condescending Rant After Being Asked To Wear Mask In Costco
ComicSands ^ | 7/9/2020 | John Sundholm

The ongoing saga of people losing their entire minds over the concept of wearing a mask in public in the middle of the deadliest pandemic in 100 years, took a new turn on Tuesday.(snip)

The incident took place in a Costco store in—you guessed it, Florida—where the virus causing the pandemic has been surging for weeks.

In the video, a man confronts a woman about her choice to not wear a mask inside the store, which is against Costco's company-wide policy. She is holding two masks in her hands, but refuses to put them on. The woman's elderly mother is also unmasked.

As the man points out her violation of the policy, the woman takes a condescending, mocking tone in response.

"Yes, call the police... Shame me, like an a**. Go ahead, get out of here."

She then makes a kissy face at the man and smiles.

The man then asks an employee to call a manager, and the woman changes tactics—she claims she hasn't yet had time to put on her mask. She then scolds the man for shaming people and asks him if he understands science.

It's when the man answers in the affirmative that the woman condescendingly claims to be a medical professional.

"I'm a DOCTOR, okay? I am. And my father was too. And WE know what to DO about this."

When the man asks to see her credentials, she flips him the bird.

a simple mask will stop large droplets as in if someone sneezes or has a phlegmy cough....that is all.....

I'd wear one if you have any vulnerabilities....

You have picked up the wrong vibe from me. I am not a mask wearer, and I was mocking the fact that they did this 100 years ago and it was just as ineffective then. For the record, Dr. Sivana is the name of a comic book mad scientist; I do not pretend to be any kind of real doctor. I still get to have opinions, though.

After the near throwdown with the new affirmative action hire Mask Stasi at Walmart yesterday, I bet I’m on The List now.

Bad enough they messed with me, but then they gave the ol’ man a hard time and that is not to be tolerated.

After all was said and done, multiple walkie-talkies employed and the store manager got involved, we got “apologies” and went in naked.

/DONE with this crap and thisclose to breaking bad.

If it were even possible to print ~anything~ on either a black mesh or open stretch lace “mask”, I’d have something inflammatory on mine, too.

The signs say “cloth face covering required”.
They are cloth.
They “cover” by the most brutally stretched of definitions.

I’m skating with barely even the spirit of the law, let alone the letter.

Except for the unrevised flu numbers from a couple years ago... when they were not counting people who were shot in the head who had a cough before they died. And in Texas and a load of other states here they had 3 and a half times as many deaths from the flu as they currently have had from Covid-19.”

Then why shut down hundreds of nation’s?

Meaningless. If someone with the virus coughs or sneezes a mask will not stop all aerosolized particles from entering your system. The aerosolized particles will be deposited upon your mask. You will continue to breathe through that mask. The viruses in that aerosolized human spittle/phlegm deposited on that mask will be breathed in by you. Over and over and over again. Until you take it off.

Mine would say “Trump 2020”.

I only put a mask on when entering a building.

Mask is off anyplace outside or at my own home.

Texas gov mandated masks when in a public building.

“The deadliest pandemic in 100 years”.

The H2N2 “Asian Flu” of 1957-1958 killed more than 1 million people worldwide. Covid19 is about half that number. For being intellectually condescending, these Einsteins don’t seem to know much.

Just sew/write/ "embroider" it on, with yarn.

As in

MASKS

Or...

I CAN Breathe

As retarded as it is to wear masks, Costco is a private business. I grit my teeth and grumble under my breath, and take off me mask ASAP when I leave the store.

MD.

They keep going back and forth.
Mandatory.
Optional.
And on and on.

There were THREE signs and every one included the “unless a mask would endanger your health” exception.

They wouldn’t look at them willingly but I forced the point.

One Stasi pulled down her mask [lol] and said “Lots of people are saying they have asthma” and I said “Well, people with asthma suffer in masks”.
She then said “I have asthma and wear a mask” and I replied “apparently you don’t have it bad enough”.

Things got twitchy after that and the people behind us looked horrified.
[ask me if I care]

Once we got in, EVERY employee NOT at a register had their masks off and so did most of the shoppers.

So much BS.

Pffft.

There’s not enough fabric in either “mask” to embroider anything.
I’d literally have to pin a patch on them.

My hero is a lady who works at Advance Auto.
She’s wearing a pair of boys’ Underoos with just the waistband and tiny scrap of fabric barely draped over the end of her nose.

If I can find Underoos I like, that’s my next pushing-my-luck-come-at-me-bro move.

Today I wore a The Walking Dead shirt that said ‘WARNING WE ARE ALL INFECTED’

A few people looked at it, scowled at me [nobody appreciates a dark sense of humor anymore] and I scowled back, just daring them to open their yaps.

:D
