Where the Hell Is John Durham?
American Greatness ^ | 9 Jul, 2020 | Julie Kelly

Trump has every right to be enraged that four years after Barack Obama’s top henchmen concocted and executed the biggest political scandal of all time, not one person has been held criminally responsible while trials against his associates drag on.

In May 2019, Attorney General William Barr made an announcement millions of Americans had been waiting for: A U.S. attorney outside the Beltway would investigate the corrupt origins of the FBI’s probe into Donald Trump’s presidential campaign and government efforts to sabotage the incoming president after he was elected.

For the past 14 months, we have been waiting (impatiently, I confess) for news from John Durham, the Connecticut prosecutor Barr tapped to lead the long-delayed inquiry. After all, by the time the attorney general initiated the targeted probe, there was plenty of evidence of wrongdoing by top officials in the Obama Administration, including James Comey, John Brennan, and Andrew McCabe among others. Special Counsel Robert Mueller had wrapped up his two-year partisan witch hunt and despite unlimited resources—along with the unflinching support of Republicans on Capitol Hill—Barack Obama’s former FBI director could find no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin.

Its a difficult part of managing any organization but you simply cannot allow unreliable and conflicted people to remain in positions where they can undermine you because if you do they will. You have to make such moves without delay.

Staffing is probably the most important thing a manager does. It can make or break you.

Almost anyone is a better choice than someone who feels no sense of loyalty or purpose that is aligned with your goals. I really hate to say it because I sympathize deeply with Trump’s dilemma but we are all paying the price for what has turned out to be a mistake of epic proportions.

Having spent his whole life in the business world, I don’t think Trump really understood the intensity of political currents and the associated machinations. Politics is blood sport.

“Who actually thought something was going to come from the Durham “investigation?”

I did.

Anticipated some mid-level indictments like FBI lawyer Kevin Clinsesmith who I dubbed “flipper” because he has no choice but to flip.

He was caught altering emails to make the innocent appear guilty.

If that isn’t rung up by next month and the entirety of ObamaGate held off until after the November election, I’ll be disappointed.

It’s been reported Durham hired a bunch of Democrat prosecutors. That’s not something you do if you really intend to indict Obama admin folks.

Rather than engage coupists Durham and his staff have been sitting around the past year looking for ways to run out the clock. Now that the clock has run out they are telling us to “eat our peas.”

Trump can only pick people that mcconnell will approve and I suspect that approval happens before the pick is made.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

So I guess the country would REALLY be in a mess if Trump picked an absolute rabid pitbull for AG and fought McConnell.

And then he did it again. And again. All the while letting the voters and public know why he was picking the men he was picking and why McConnell was objecting. Yelling his thoughts from his bully pulpit every night. And maybe to this day we still didn’t have an AG.

I guess if Trump did that we would really find the country in a mess right now.

if DOJ AG and assistant USA’s can’t see the writing on the wall they better get out of the beltway and see how real people are fed up with the deep state and inaction. If they don’t do what’s right we may see vigilante justice..the country cannot ignore a coup on the President and survive. that’s a fact jack, unintended consequences coming down the road.

“This crime was taking place even before my election, everyone knows it, and yet all are frozen stiff with fear,” Trump raged. “No Republican Senate Judiciary response, NO ‘JUSTICE,’ NO FBI, NO NOTHING. Major horror show REPORTS on Comey & McCabe, guilty as hell, nothing happens. Catch Obama & Biden cold, nothing.”

I am not a lawyer, I hate lawyers, but now I will prostrate myself to any real knowledgeable lawyer, that knows the answer to this question.

Regardless of political fallout, does the President have the authority to order his AG to IMMEADIATELY bring what ever charges are available in the cases Durham is investigating.

Since Barr works for Trump, it would seem that this is legal but I really do not know.

I do know that the demonRATs would go ballistic, that the never Trumpers would have a fit and that the Trump supporters would have a NATIONAL ORGASM that would increase the population by 20% on April 11th 2021.

Imagine if Democrats slow-walked the investigations and prosecutions of the conspiracy to assassinate Abraham Lincoln.

Barr was never going to indict anybody without the support of the beltway GOP. Successfully engaging the coupists requires the GOP Congress to support the executive branch via public Congressional hearings. The GOP want Trump gone and have no interest in validating his campaign against The Swamp.

I heard that we will most likely not hear anything from him before the election, because he doesn’t want anything he says to be seen as political. In other words, if Trump loses we’ll hear absolutely nothing, and everything will go down the Memory Hole. If Trump wins, he’ll announce there were wrongdoings, but not sufficiant to prosecute (sort of like Comey).

Republicans need to go on a ‘jury duty’ strike until there is ‘some’ kind of justice here.

Remember if you did not get that notice by registered letter they have no proof you received it.

Barr would quit and POTUS would be dealing with another Sally Yates type. The entire DOJ is rotten and needs to be burned to the ground.

Ya open warfair in the gopE giving the entire congress to the dems, that’s the answer. Trump has to work with what he has. The fact that he is still in office after all that has been done against him is in itself an impossible achievement. If you can do better, or know of someone that could, please step forward. If not, then STFU and stop snipping from the shadows.

Current postponement “...by Labor Day...”

Next postponement “...so as not to be seen as interfering with the election...”

The postponement after that “...holiday season/congress out of session...”

Then they will just back burner it again until the end of President Trump’s second term.

The big question underlying all of this is “What are Democrats holding over Republicans heads that makes them so utterly terrified of prosecuting criminal Democrats?”

Until we resolve this last question, America will not have justice or peace. Republicans must stop being afraid.

That maybe true, but does Trump have the legal authority and constitutional right to order charges be brought.

I would think that he does.

If he does, and orders Barr to comply and Barr quits, then the President appoints an acting, hand picked AG, that will comply.

If Durham balks, confiscate his files, fire him and find a couple of young, fire pissing {ugh} lawyers, that are true American patriots.

I know that there must be at least a couple of these scum that are American patriots.

Did I mention that I hate lawyers?

While they are only .0029% of the American population, they are responsible for over 50% of American problems.

I believe Flynn is the Lynch pin. Once the Appellate court in DC slams Sullivan a third and last time then Flynn will be free. Then the floodgates open. My only question I when will the 302’s doctored and original be released. His Twitter talks about him being a major player for Trump re-election this fall. The grand juries are looking at the information from England and Steele.
