If you had to pick only ONE great band or musical group of the past 50 years who would it be?

I love all kinds of music and I know everyones taste of music is different but if forced to pick only one group since 1970 that was awesome, encompassed uniqueness and range and just fun music overall it would be Earth Wind & Fire. I just loved how they mixed R&B, Jazz, Soul, Pop, Latin and Disco and had lyrics to many of their songs that had meaning and message. Maurice White was a genius and his instrumental arrangements for the bands top hits was bar none. Great Car music

The cutoff should probably be 1964 instead of 1970 because so many great bands were active just before the cutoff, and I can’t pick just one, but whoever I would pick if a gun were held to my head, their best work was all pre-1990, and likely pre-1980.

Really? Do you know the meaning of the song? The message it conveys? What about it makes “your ears bleed”?

I think Chicago V was their best, every song on it was fantastic.

That's what I have heard.. PF is one of the few great Bands I never got to see. Ten years ago I had VIP tickets to see Roger Waters preform 'The Wall', but couldn't go because of vertigo. 😫
