At my son’s school, they changed all the boy’s bathrooms to coed but not the girls’.
When I complained, the headmaster said it was to minimize lawsuits in case something happened to the girls’ bathroom.

I was in the City of Decatur schools in the mid to 1960s and they were very liberal at that time too. They went from still segregated at the end of the 64-65 school year to hard core liberal as soon as integration began slowly in the 65-66 school year.
