If Barr had one quark’s weight of decency, on day one he would have requested enough marines to seal off every DOJ office in the US, and fired everyone in the organization.

He is offering federal support, and this should have been done a long time ago. People who live in these areas are subject to unequal protection under the law, Not because the police wouldn’t love to go there and get the killers, but because of the politicians who see black rioting and murders as somehow beneficial to their careers.
Also a lot of the gangs are more than interstate, they’re international. So he has every reason in the world to do this.
Somebody’s got to step up to the plate, and Trump - working through Barr - is doing so.
