Thank you for drawing attention to this.
A lot of the people on the main thread give me grief for these Execution Today posts. They think I am some sort of ghoul.
(Some people appreciate the postings. There is a little group that has some sort of history ping list that picks up on my postings.)
I’m really just trying to get people to read some history and to learn some more about people who lead remarkable lives to the extent that some of the people I post about are heroes, martyrs, and or just tragic figures. And the events that lead to their execution are often quite interesting and would make for a good movie. In some cases, good movies were already made and mentioned in the articles.
Of course, there are also the bastards who deserve what they got.
I just pick what is most interesting to me on that particular day. Sometimes there are interesting parallels between what happened then and what is happening now.
Thank you for posting them.

actually I should yell at you - I followed the video on the page and then watched 4 first-person survivor accounts of Poles and Jews being rounded up by the Germans, into the wee hours.
I liked it. I thought it was the feel good story of the day. I was struck by how similar the stories back then were to today’s stories except... unfortunately we don’t hang them, we let them out to re-offend.
