New York — The New York State Fair will not happen in 2020, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said today.
“That makes me personally very unhappy, but that is where we are,” Cuomo said during a press conference in New York City. “This is a really tough one.”
It has been over 70 years since the last time the fair was canceled. The event didn’t run from 1942 through 1948 because of World War II and its aftermath.

Thanks. I haven’t gone to it in years. No reason to. But there’s plenty of other people who go, and participate in the shows, displays, 4H, cattle & dairy, etc. I was wondering what decision the moron was going to make. He couldn’t keep himself from screwing the law-abiding citizens in the state one more time.
Fond memories of the NY State Fair when I was a teenager back in the 1960s. The midway was always crowded.
The SC state fair is a ripoff.
Seeing it gone would not hurt my feelings.
I despise the fair.
