A woman struck by a vehicle that drove onto a closed Seattle freeway early Saturday and plowed into a crowd of protesters has died, while a second woman remains in serious condition, officials said.

If you watched the video, he clearly was. He was driving the wrong way on an off-ramp and didn't slow down once he saw the protesters.
That being said, I have no sympathy for the protesters whatsoever.
Color of perp?
I still hold that this was a “bad” hit. He may not’ve meant to hit people but he was going full speed, despite cars clearly perpendicular across the freeway.
How about that statement from the mayor? “No one should have to risk life...demanding more from...country”. What’s that supposed to mean?
Yes, they DO risk when they THREATEN other people AND their property, including “public” taxpayer property.
And so concludes the “stupid prizes” segment of our show.
Gee, that’s a shame.

Too bad about the damage to the car.
OMG! Seriously? The irony!
I’m so old I remember when if you told someone “Awww, go play in traffic!” they had the good sense not to actually do it.
I keep expecting “1000 Points” to flash on the screen.
Protesting does not mean you have a sort of shield allowing you to bypass reality and not warn with safety cones people ahead. There is a reason cops have to use reflective vests in such instances, but we are dealing with stealth terrorists here.
These are just patsies, cannon-fodder for the Left.
Nice car.
But, it’s not bad - that can be fixed. And, it’ll have a great “pedigree” - or not, which no one will want to buy!
Yes, I think the driver could have been scared out of his mind and fled the scene out of shock and fear.
I can’t imagine traveling on a freeway swerving to avoid hitting something, then slamming my brakes to avoid hitting someone in a group of protesters, then hitting someone maybe, then surrounded by a group of what appear to be BLM/Antifa, remembering videos of BLM rioters pointing a handgun into a motorist’s car, shooting the driver who floored the gas to get away.
This driver was caught by Seattle PD, didn’t put up any resistance and asked if the protesters hit were okay.
I think I see what happened here.
This BLM/Antifa sh*t has got to stop.
I live within 3 miles of the now disassembled CHAZ-CHOP takeover. Now the BLM mostly white imnature liberal kids who think BLM is a movable rock festival have come closer to protest in a family zoned area centered around 23rd Ave E and E Cherry St, extending for several blocks in each direction bordered and ‘controlled’ by Antifa types on bicycles blocking and diverting traffic. No warning, no signs, no permit.
Seattle’s progressive lesbian mayor didn’t take any action until she herself was doxxed and protesters showed up her home.
Effing liberals think they’re so much better than everyone until reality smacks them in the a$$.
The State Patrol has shut down this portion of the Freeway for 19 days...NINETEEN DAYS.....
I like this one better: play stupid games - win stupid prizes
I am always amazed at the slap of realism these chicks get, from being consent raped in CHAZ to being road kill cannon fodder for democrats, what will it take to get some sense in them. Reality is mysoginistic, and those capable of complying with it must be privileged white males...
You can't outdrive your line of sight, which he did; the van to his left kept him from seeing the people making their way across the slow lane to the shoulder. (He knew he had to get off the shoulder because of the people there; it wasn't until he came past the van that he could see there were still people in a traffic lane. He cuts the wheel sharply to the left in response, but it's clearly too late.)
(To be clear, I am in no way absolving the dingbats who took it upon themselves to block a highway and then stand in it or the local authorities who apparently simply let this nonsense go on. I'm just pointing out that as with every traffic incident, the blame almost never falls squarely on one party.)
