A Silver Springs woman was arrested Sunday for allegedly giving a bloody lip to a man who says he is afraid of her because she’s bigger than him.
Amber Noelle Poland, 23, of NE 146th Terrace, was charged with simple domestic battery. It’s her second trip to the Marion County Jail in less than three months, as she was picked up on a drug charge in April.
Poland told a Marion County sheriff’s deputy that she and the victim had been arguing for several days. She said in the latest incident, the victim took her phone and ran down the road with it. Poland said she yelled, “Where the (expletive deleted) is my phone?” to him, according to the sheriff’s office report.(snip)
The victim said he tried to walk away from Poland several times, but she followed him. He said she pushed him against the fence and punched him in the temple area with a closed fist. The victim said he pushed Poland back and she punched him again in the mouth, according to the report.
The victim told the deputy, “I’m scared of that big bitch,” and that she is larger than he is. The deputy observed the victim’s bottom lip was busted and there were scratches on his chest. The victim said he doesn’t remember where the scratches came from, but they could have been caused by Poland, the report said.
Poland was being held on no bond and will appear in Marion County Court on Aug. 4.

One night she went after my dad who called her a b+++++ because she threw a pie at the wall over my dad whooping her brats butt. My sister slapped her across the face, she all of 5’ 130. So my cousin 6’ and me, 5’8, both drywallers so we were tough were pushed back like Jim Brown against peewee footballers. She relented when I told her that I would have to hurt her bad if she didn’t stop. IDK what would have happened if she didn’t turn off the temper. Bro was at his duty station that night.
It was a great Thanksgiving.
Her son, a true “bad dude”, 5 trips into prison so far at 43.
