CLAY COUNTY, Ill. (NEXSTAR) Governor J.B. Pritzkers emergency powers to issue executive orders to close businesses or order people to stay at home expired 85 days ago on April 8th, 2020, a judge in Clay County Circuit Court ruled on Thursday afternoon.
The ruling did not find the state has no power to forcibly close businesses or to restrict a citizens movements, but rather that those powers are derived from the Illinois Department of Public Health Act, not under the Illinois Emergency Management Act. Pritzkers administration has at times cited both portions of state law to enforce his orders.
State Representative Darren Bailey (R-Lousiville) initially brought the case against the Pritzker administration, and won an early round to free himself from the Governors orders. The court on Thursday granted Baileys request to apply the ruling to all citizens of the state of Illinois.

Does ‘that woman from Michigan’ still need to get her mind right, of has most the state already opened up?
Retched Halfwit just closed down all the bars. Again.
I am so happy for the normal people in Illinois! Prickster got the smack down that he really deserved.
What the in name only Democratic Party has been doing in gerrymandering remapping has been singling out areas of various districts where it is dominated by a minority and create a single district out of it which not only disrupts those districts affected of getting civic services needs but pits one group against the other. An example of this is in what Chicago did here;
CHICAGO MIDWAY AIRPORT AREA HISTORY
HOW IDENTITY POLITICS WARD RE MAPPING DESTROYED THE COMMUNITIES WITHIN
That finger of Chicago’s border on its south side extending from 51st to 65th streets 4 miles further beyond Cicero Avenue to Harlem Avenue has a very interesting history. Post WWII during the 1950’s and 60’s the area mushroomed into dozens of single dwelling subdivions where thousands of of five and more room single 1 family units were built. After a struggle by residents including this writer the area managed to get the area remapped into one ward (23rd) and only one alderman needed to respond to their needs. Today the area has four alderman including the 12th, 13th, and 14th who’s wards are spread miles apart and the reason is political because the area was conservative The same rules apply to state and congressional districts

Calm Down - this is just a County Judge - Putzker said weeks ago he would not follow orders from minor courts - nothing will change until a Federal Judge rules against him. Illinois is still shut down.
It will probably take the Supreme Court to get Fred Flintstone to follow orders.
The Supreme Court will not defend the people in this case. I have no faith in them at all.
