She sustained multiple goring wounds and was treated by rangers before being flown to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center for further treatment.
The news release said the woman approached the bison several times near her campsite at Bridge Bay Campground in northwest Wyoming before the bison charged.
The attack serves as a reminder that “wildlife in Yellowstone National Park are wild,” the release said.
Park visitors must stay 25 yards away from all large animals in the park including bison, elk, bighorn sheep, deer, moose and coyotes, the release said. If people encounter bears and wolves they should stay 100 yards away.

Bear Training Season starts this week. Beau will be taking Bella Coola, Osage, Ho-Chunk, Cheyenne, Taylor, Seneca and Oneida up to our cabin in Northern Wisconsin for tracking and training. Bear season starts very late this year - Mid-September.
We heard yesterday that black bear got into the shed that holds all of the bear bait; a neighbor said he’d clean up what he could. This is a new shed, metal, no windows, with a locked overhead garage door that they managed to figure out how to lift and open.
Smarter than your average bear, indeed!

Seen this before. I think the kids parents are running to the right and the kid got nailed. I heard the kid survived with some bruises.

Ron White did a bit on this guy in one of his shows. He told about the idiot spending too much time too close to the bears.
At the end he said, in a very upper crust accent, “daddy, you said I would never amount to shite. Well you were wrong! I am now a huge pile of bear shite so there daddy!”

25 yards with buffalo is nothing. My personal rule is more like 85 yards.
