What's an "open forum?" FR has rules. You Tube has rules. They're both made up by the owners, they're both for-profit websites in a country where competition is supposedly welcome and people are supposedly able to do what they want with their property.
YouTube, like CNN, is subsidized to the point that no amount of boycotting on the part of conservatives would make a dent in its bottom line.
And even if it did, the operators are willing to take the hit in order to advance the cause.
Conservatives want to talk about issues. Leftists use issues to drive the revolution.
Guess who wins in that confrontation?
But nobody, except Jim makes a living from FR. Thus, there is not tangible harm from being zotted without warning. Indeed, FR republic supports a variety of viewpoints. YouTube was Stephan Ms income source. There is a huge difference in a forum where you dont receive income and a platform for your business. Especially since the creators own the content they place on YouTube. By not allowing him access they are stealing. Posting here is not even lose to comparable.
So then, if the electric company doesn’t agree with your political views, they can deny you service?
These tech giants are utilities at this point in my opinion.
