We need to remember that southern "democrats" (party names have changed over the centuries, but the driving ideologies have not) argued during the formation of the Constitution to have their black slaves count as part of the population for the purposes of representation in Congress and taxation... without regard for the fact that their slaves were human beings. This point of contention is what led to the 3/5 Compromise.

We also need to remember that Lincoln, the first republican, issued the Emancipation Proclamation during the "Civil War" as southern Democrats fought to keep their slaves in the 1860s, and that it was Democrats like Bull Connor who unleashed dogs and fire hoses on Civil Rights marches in the South 100 years later.

“Thank a republican today if you’re free. Fighting oppression since 1854 “

That should be our sign.

The Republican Party began as a coalition of anti-slavery Conscience Whigs such as Zachariah Chandler and Free Soil Democrats such as Salmon P. Chase. The first anti-Nebraska local meeting where “Republican” was suggested as a name for a new anti-slavery party was held in a Ripon, Wisconsin schoolhouse on March 20, 1854.

Dems - The party of racism, segregation, and slavery since 1655

Hell, let's lower it down to 1619, their favorite.

One glaring problem is the fact that the Democrat Party didn't exist in 1655. The Boston Tea Party didn't occur until December 16, 1773. In 1792 the Democrat-Republican Party was formed by the anti-federalists consisting of Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and other influential opponents of the Federalists. The Republican Party was founded in 1854 by anti-slavery expansion activists and modernizers. It wasn't until 1824 that the Democrat-Republican Party was officially renamed as the Democrat Party.

When the Republican Party was formed, it was the least conservative party, as the Democrat Party was fiercely conservative in comparison.

The Democrats tended to attract the industrialists, plantation owners and professional classes; the Republicans attracted the farmers and factory workers. The Democrats were arguably stronger on foreign policy, and most American wars to date had been fought under Democratic presidents.

The Republicans were more focused on domestic issues, especially in the early 20th century, such as breaking up monopolies and establishing national parks.

Don't be fooled by the name now often attributed to the Democrat Party as the Democratic Party. There is no such party, officially, known as the Democratic Party.

Dems are trying to erase history because they were the KKK and White Supremacists. They were the slave owners and still to this day run inner cities like plantations. Take a look at this short video which talks about the 5 points used by the dems to keep blacks on the plantations are the same points used today to keep the blacks enslaved in the inner cities run by them. It is the dems who are the party of the KKK, white supremacists and racists to this day. They are also facists by trying to keep this truth from coming out.

The Barbery slave trade which persisted until the 1800s was primarily muslim pirates raiding coastal European towns and villages and enslaving the entire populations. Women were sold into harems and the men were either sold as workers or castrated and sold as eunuchs.
