One man was captured on video Friday refusing to wear a mask at the popular hiking trail Runyon Canyon. The footage was taken by a woman who wishes to remain anonymous but identified herself as a city employee for the Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation.

Eyewitness News spoke to...the man in the video, who doesn't believe his behavior is out of line and alluded to his skepticism with warnings from top health officials, including Dr. Anthony Fauci.

"Everything Fauci has said, has not been true, it's not even been close to true," said Weil. "People are not asking enough questions, they're just wearing this mask... there's a psychological thing going on that's not being talked about... Is there actually more harm being done?"

"Captured" mind you -- as if he's a criminal on par with the George Floyd rioters.

The person who took the video should be arrested. Did their camera have a mask on? If not, why not!!!

If you're on the public dime, you don't get anonymity.

Apparently we aren't teaching enough people enough about East Germany and the rest of the curtain-twitching, neighbor-snitching Warsaw Pact.

It is the worst form of social existence on the planet after involuntary servitude.

He was outside hiking? This mask crap has to stop. I'm not wearing a mask for the rest of my life. Corona is definitely not enough of an incentive.

Wash your hands, don't sneeze or cough on others, don't be a windbag, and respect personal space. We needed more of this before Corona

Exactly what I was gonna say.
If she claims the title and authority, she must identify herself.
(But, this IS California)

I agree. I work in a hospital and I have to wear the damn thing for eight hours, sometimes more. It’s suffocating , it’s caused parts of my face to become chapped and a lot of my co-workers and so many nurses are sick and tired of it too.

Wouldn’t it have been easier for her to report it using the new Gestapo app?

Nuts. People have died exercising while wearing a mask. And scr* this mask stuff anyway. It’s all symbolic.

This is one of the things I find humorous having worked within manufacturing for the majority of my career. I've been in and around metal grinding departments, in foundries, in fiberglass plants and I don't recall as many people complaining about wearing a mask during the course of their work, for full shifts. And many of these environments certainly weren't air conditioned or temperature controlled.

Yet I've seen numerous pictures posted by hospital staff with what looks like rug burns around their face. If people don't know how to wear a piece of PPE, then maybe it isn't the right job for them.

Now, whether or not many of these masks should even be worn in the first place, is an entirely different discussion.

Anonymous? I know exactly who she is. Not sure what her last name is, but her first name is Karen.
