A couple years ago I just rolled my eyes when Trumpsters made their Trump-Lincoln comparisons. Not any more. I see parallels all over. Just the other day I posted a Doris Kearns Goodwin excerpt where she said that Lincoln's enemies attacked not just his intellect but his appearance. "Gawky man bad," so to speak. I have also learned that judging Trump's intellect by the limited vocabulary he displays in public and his infamous tweets is a big mistake. He accomplished a hell of a lot of conservative objectives while having half his brain tied behind his back by the Russia hoax, the Ukraine hoax-impeachment, and now the Kung Flu. A dummy wouldn't be capable of that.
