I have the DVD. It’s a very dark movie, quite a change of pace for Billy Wilder after “Some Like it Hot.”

A pretty good little movie. It’s on my all time list.

I never get tired of watching The Apartment. There are so many things about it that are great.

Jack Lemmon is one of my favorite actors of all time. He made it look so easy.

Shirley MacLaine and Jack Lemon were also in Irma la Douce which was based in Paris.
That hot table dance from MacLaine.

I remember as a kid the "Theme From The Apartment" always being on the car radio. But I just discovered the film a few years ago...a true classic,it's now one of my all time favorites.I guess you could call it a "dark comedy".
One of these days I'm gonna try to locate the park bench jack Lemon sat on in Central Park during that rain scene.

Always a favorite. And Shirley MacLaine, although a kook in real life, was cute.

Later made into a musical with a score by Burt Bacharach and Hal David. (Promises, Promises.)
