Days of Our Lives actress Melissa Reeves is catching heat from her co-stars and the long-running soap’s fans for coming out against the Black Lives Matter movement.
Earlier this week it was revealed that Reeves — who has played Jennifer Horton on the NBC sudser on and off for the past three decades — “liked” several anti-BLM posts from right-wing activist Candace Owens on Instagram.
Reeves’ Days cousin, Linsey Godfrey, wasted little time responding. After one Twitter user defended Reeves’ right to express her opinion, Godfrey countered, “Nah there is no difference of opinion on racism, homophobia, transphobia and xenophobia.”
When another fan noted that she found Reeves to be “completely lovely and non-judgmental” after encountering her at several Days fan events, Godfrey responded, “Yea but even the nicest people can have awful views. Plenty of nice people have awful moral compasses. I can’t associate w/ it because it makes me a hypocrite. I condemn all those hateful & harmful beliefs.”

At his Phoenix event yesterday Trump had a young woman from Louisiana who became the victim of cancel culture after she posted an Instagram video critical of BLM. They doxxed her employer, flooded them with demands she be fired, threatened to burn down the building, etc. Ultimately her employer caved and let her go. It was chilling.
Yet she was unbowed. A very impressive young woman.
The lynch mob is coming for you if you disagree with them.

This is why anyone asks for my view on a current topic, I always start with, "Let me ask you something first. Am I allowed to have an opinion that differs from yours?"
This always makes them squirm as it makes them face up to their hypocrisy. Either they admit that they don't believe in freedom of thought, to which I reply, "How very fascist of you." or they allow me to express myself without any crybullying. A win either way.
