I have not watched NASCAR even on TV for many years.
I can’t remember what he said but Bill France Jr. came out with some leftist drivel years ago.
My newest theory is that someone on his crew, maybe one of the black members, saw the door pull, thought “Hey, that looks a bit like a noose”, and thought it would be funny to cut it off, hang it over the car, and prank Bubba the next morning. Stupid, silly prank, sure.
But then someone else found it, and now it has all gone too far, and they are scared to death to say anything. If a white guy, they assume if they are caught, they are fired, banned, labeled racist, and will never work again.
If they are black, they will be called the next Jessie Smollett.
This case will inspire jokes, and NASCAR looks ridiculous. But Bubba Wallace (I had never heard of him) did get name recognition and weepy sympathy from other drivers
