NASCAR president Steve Phelps said there are not a lot of answers yet in regard to an investigation into a noose that was left in driver Bubba Wallace’s garage at the Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday.

Given the current state of the REPUTATION for politically-motivated “fun & games” & UTTER DISHONESTY of the FBI, I would be much happier IF the investigation was being performed by the detectives of the State Police.
Also, as the noose has NOT yet been exhibited, I’m wondering if there WAS a noose at all OR this is simply a publicity stunt. = WAY TOO MANY “loose ends”, imo.

“Noose” was a garage door pull loop and has been there since at least November.

I’m on iPhone but even zooming in can’t see a thing in that photo in either bay.
Fbi says there are security cameras, and they are being checked.
I mean, that should take a little time, as someone has to watch them, probably in real time, but they should have finished that by now.

“Phelps said that part of the FBI’s investigation includes looking at footage from the cameras located in the team garage, but he declined to reveal specifics about the number of cameras and what the footage showed. He also said that NASCAR is reviewing the list of limited individuals who had access to that area with the FBI.
“We have a very small number of people that are in the footprint,” Phelps said, referring to the garage stall area. “Only essential personnel who was there.””
The garage door company is in big heap trouble for installing those noose door pulleys.
What does the FBI have to do with it? Was there some Federal crime committed?
Note that if it was cut off the pull rope, that does not prove it wasn’t real; it just means that we know where the person who did it got the rope/noose.
Someone could have cut the rope, and placed it in the garage.
On the other hand, now you have the possibility that the rope broke, someone threw it into the garage and shut the door, someone else found it later and thought it was a noose, and now the guy who did it is scared for his life.
“Awe c’mon Steve. I was just playin’ with the guy.”
I like this guy a lot...
