We have seen that Sunday has the lowest Corona deaths for any week, for whatever reason. Nonetheless, 267 deaths yesterday is still the lowest death count we have seen since March. Cases are at an all time high even though deaths are at a 3 month low. This is because many healthy people are getting tested and they have asymptomatic Corona.
Yet people and politicians in Southern Republican states are starting to freak out a bit. They need to calm down and stop trying to protect people from this. People will protect themselves. No hospitals are even close to getting overrun.

Several people are “test shopping” to get the COVID positive numbers to increase.
Anecdotal stories of persons going to 2 or 3 testing stations within hours of testing positive.

I had to get the swab test a couple weeks ago, four days before having surgery. The swab test is NOTHING. It didn’t hurt. It didn’t poke your brain. It wasn’t even uncomfortable. The worst thing was a sneezing jag afterword that lasted about a minute. Anyone who whines about it is a wuss.

Yeah, horseradish or good Chinese mustard gives more of a similar sensation.
The one I had hurt like HECK. Full disclosure, my nose and sinuses are very cranky this time of year anyway. But the person doing my sample got a really, really good one. Used a flocked swab, too, and went waaaaay up.

You’re right, now that I think of it. Similar to wasabe. I only wish I could find horseradish that strong; it’s all watered down now.

Hope your surgery went well. My coronavirus test was last Friday, ahead of a colonoscopy this Wednesday. I’m not worried, just so the doctor removes anything resembling Kozak’s head.
