So, I thought this was beyond comical...
I took my wife and son to Asheville, North Carolina (Little Seattle) yesterday to walk around, shop, and have a few beers. In Pack Square Park, in the center of the city, a BLM protest was ongoing throughout the day. The protest was made up of about 200...
...white people.
That's right, lily white people. Not a single black person to be found...
...in the protest that is.
There were plenty of black people in town yesterday, but they weren't protesting.
What were they doing, you might ask, while this momentous protest was ongoing screaming for "Black Lives Matter"?
They were shopping. Just like the rest of us. It seems they were as unimpressed as my wife and I with the pandering, hyperventilating mass of angry white people...
They didn't join in. They were there to enjoy the beautiful weather, drinking beer and shopping.
The first question that popped into my head was how old was your child. The second question was once you saw the demonstration why did you choose to stay. And, as long as North Carolina has a Democrat governor North Carolina is not ok no matter where you are in the state.
I graduated from Mars Hill College in 1968. I never knew about the Ponders. I was just a city slicker kid from Charlotte and I didnt have a clue about local politics. I was raised in a Democrat family and it took a few years to see the light.
OMG! I will never go to Asheville.
The Mountain X had become unreadable. I grabbed a copy a while back and it was nothing but pure social justice tripe.
Virtue signalers only.
That’s what makes it so fun! One evening when I was visiting mom had the city council meeting on & the number of people who got up to speak looking like circus freaks....oh my.
We saw a blm protest in Sugar Hill Ga. this week.
This is just the Delphi Technique on a larger scale.
Look up...Delphi Technique!
Were these guys there?
I don’t know about that, the police
had Peachtree industrial blocked off to let protestors
cross.
As a former Devil DAWG (UGA) instead of saying OORAh, I would say to her, Uneedabra.
Thanks for the reply. It was sagging...I mean a saddening day for Ashesville.
