They are definitely carrying guns at least some of them.
They don’t care what the cops think or anybody else. But so far they haven’t been disbursed.
Others would just show up anyway. Or the same people would come right back.
I’m Italian and I’ve grown up around them and my whole life.

Agree. But there was always a check on radical behavior and that is gone now with “both” political parties supporting this nonsense. Our institutions are failing us. All of them.

Maybe yo7 should start a thread about these guarding cases. I sure would like to know how things are going. I haven’t seen it on the news at all, only showing rioters destroying things and appeasement.
How did we get from “police brutality” to “destroy Confederate stuff” anyway? Never mind the predictable all things American.
America has had its taboo structure for the society eroded to insignificance. Without a collectively agreed upon taboo structure the society loses its identity. Thus the America now dying.
BTW the other week I was sure someone posted about a flag-burning by BLM IN THE NATIONAL CEMETERY THERE! In the Yankee soldier grounds!

yes it is. Unless negative reinforcement is imposed on impulsive child behavior when they are young, they cannot learn respect when they are older - they get stuck on 5yo mental midget impulsiveness and cannot mature. And I don’t care what flavor of idiot their parents are. It is the parent’s responsibility to society to teach their children how to act. And if they don’t, if they screw up their job parenting, under the new blood debt rules imposed by the Left, they pay - I want statue restitution from their pockets.. And yes, I’m feeling radical this morning :)
I couldn’t disagree with you more about negative reinforcement. Love and reinforcement of what’s right ALWAYS trumps criticism. Always. However, it requires parents spending the time to teach their children what’s right, discussing with them why it is right, and leading by example. I also strongly believe that giving a child a start in spirituality is crucial.
I do agree with you about parental responsibility.

We have a very large number of Italians on one side of the island. Maybe two hundred thousand. Not folks here or there or more integrated like these other places.. So no one’s doing anything here.

South Philly must be fairly safe by now. The Italians down there (the news article didn’t specify the ethnicity, but I only had to look at the picture) have apparently moved on from simply guarding statues to patrolling the streets with implements like baseball bats.
If you are Italian it’s mandatory to keep a bat in your car :-)
