The movement against the Confederate flag has reached college sports.
SEC commissioner Greg Sankey delivered a strong message to schools located in Mississippi on Thursday, threatening to keep championship events away from the state until its flag is altered.

What championship games ?
Name one ?
A phony threat .
Sec should be sued for blackmail .Gotten too big and evil .
You cannot appease the insane.
You may also want to know that the MS flag may NOT ever be lawfully changed.
When the new law was passed for the current design on 17APR2001, the law stated that the flag’s design was PERMANENT & that it could NEVER again be changed NOR even have another election on “the flag issue”. = The “new design law” passed overwhelmingly in every county in MS, including with the YES votes of over 60% of A-A voters.
Thus, the SEC/NCAA can “go pound sand”. = The flag of MS suits Mississipians just fine, thanks.

Ole Miss won’t be the Rebels much longer.
Every school in the South is getting hit with something, they say we can’t say “Gator Bait!” anymore, Screw That!
As if the SEC will ever play their Championship Game in Mississippi, it will always be in Atlanta.
Most Mississippi folks do have a sense of humor...so they might go and suggest that an alternate flag would be available for special occasions. This would depict a dead possum and the words above it...’You Never Know About Possums’. They’d offer this to the NCAA to see if they’d entertain a special NCAA-Possum flag.
Ole Miss hasn’t been Rebels for years now.
Last I heard they were landsharks. Or bears. Or something.
Y’all NEED to stop watching sports.
Get a hobby. Knit, fix old cars, something...
RotflmRao.
Mississippi folks are “characters”, for certain sure.
(MOST of our extended family lived in MS from about 1735 to 1865, when they fled the FURY of the DAMNYANKEE army & escaped to Texas, about 2 steps ahead of their pursuers.)
Fwiw, our family (until the Open Range” was closed forever in the 1950s) were what was known as “Ass Nomads”, i.e., “free grazers” or stockmen, who worked their flocks of sheep/goats/poultry from the backs of donkeys, from the late 1600s to 1956. - The family business was swine & breeding/selling mules.
The family’s flocks were driven into the mountains in the Summer to graze & then down to the coast each Winter to graze.
(When the family arrived in Texas in the late fall of 1865, they paid ferry tolls to cross the Sabine River on over 5,000 head of mixed livestock.= What the family called “The Long Walk” took FIVE months. - I’ve often thought that The Long Walk must have looked like a “traveling circus”.)

There are more racists in Boston than Birmingham. Why don’t you just make the South illegal?
NICE.
Trivia question of the day: WHICH of the 50 States has the longest official name??
Yours, TMN78247
Someone should get it quickly. Didn’t know it until I looked it up.
LOL, won’t be long before they go after Hawaii for having the Union Jack.
Terrorism and intimidation work.
Something that conservatives fail to appreciate and use.
Fyi, Crown Princess Leia, the great-granddaughter of the last Queen of HI, has gone to the UN to DEMAND that the UN recognize her as the legitimate Queen of the islands & that HI return to her former status as an ABSOLUTE MONARCHY.
(All manner of “strangeness” going on right now in the USA!!)

I would support that. Overthrowing the Hawaiian Monarchy was not one of our better moments.
You are 100% CORRECT. = A classic case of just because you CAN do something, oftentimes you SHOULD NOT.

Why should Mississippi have the battle flag of the Army of Northern Virginia as part of it’s state flag?
bingo
