I have a comparison graph of various nations "new cases" of COVID over time I'd like to post on one of Doughty One's update thread.
It's just a file on my computer, so it doesn't have a URL. You can't copy and paste images into FR, as far as I know.
Can someone explain to me how to do this?
Use imgflip or imgur; upload pictures to one of those sites, then copy the URL of the picture into the FR post.
Go to the HTML Sandbox section of FR — it will explain the process.
Here is an old link. Need to place the picture somewhere online though.

Try this:
You upload the graphic, then copy and paste the link into your post.
Do you know how to upload to a server? If not sometimes you can hotlink to an existing image.
you can go here: https://imgbb.com and set up a free account (there is a limit of 32mb total)
upload the image there.
Then link to that image.
put the url of the image between the two quotation marks (but leave the quotation marks in).
the url you give cannot be the path to the image on your local hard drive. the image must reside on a server that has a URL on the internet.
oops obviously I can’t post a tag without it being interpreted as a tag and therefore not showing up. use one of the sandbox pages people have posted.
You basically do the img src tag and enclose it with the image URL address and then tack on the width. Usually I do width=300.
The image is basically a piece of tape you put on the back of your baseball cap in summer to catch deer flies.
you got a link to what you want to post?

You can’t post images on your computer. First you have to upload the image to an image hosting website, and then link to it on that website.
Save the below link. Paste word or image or both to converter, convert to html then copy and paste to your post.
It’s simple and has worked for me for several years.
Geez!
This gets asked every week. Ask the MODS to create a html sandbox.
