The women were sentenced to two days imprisonment, and ordered them to pay a fine of $350 and restitution of $106.92 for damages to Opal Pool.

My youngest brother raced away in fear from a sudden geyser in Yellowstone years ago, cutting across the area between boardwalks, my mother in hot pursuit.

Later she said she was sure they were both going through the sand and into boiling water.

As it was, it just became a funny family story.

The Montana entrances to Yellowstone National Park are likely to open June 1. Bullock said he is working with other government officials on a reopening schedule for Glacier National Park.
