Chauvin did know what he was doing. Floyd was overdosed on fentanyl and experiencing excited delirium syndrome and the cops were trained to hold the person down until the paramedics could administer a ketamine shot. Chavin was going by the book and didn’t kill Floyd, he was already saying he couldn’t breathe before he went to the ground, and the neck pressure was not strong enough to kill him. He died of being drugged up and having heart issues. People experiencing EDS will keep struggling against the cuffs until they give themselves a heart attack.

I get gallows humor. But when the guys is not only not dead, but begging to not be dead is the wrong time for it. This is the generally callous don’t give a crap attitude that’s put us in this mess.

There is a term for the condition, “Excited Delerium Syndrome”, the procedure the police used here was the same used in the Floyd case,it’s horrible looking but it’s Not a racist issue, obviously you can see in the Dallas case, Police guy was White and Tippa was white.This issue was grabbed onto by the Anarchist crowd, they were just looking for this or any other issue to spark what’s going on now.The procedure was legal
I understand black humor perfectly well, and a decent person never does it the presence of a patient, arrestee, prisoner or family member of the above. Not even when someone is unconscious.

It’s not funny and also NOT TRUE! (the woody part) I think he knew exactly what he was doing! FOLLOWING PROCEDURE!
Lifting the weight off his neck from time to time to assure that he wasn’t consistently putting too much pressure on his neck. You can see this in the video if you LOOK! Also the autopsy CONFIRMS no injury to the neck.

The procedure he was following seriously sucks. It should be replaced with better procedures that don’t have such dire consequences. Every bouncer knows how to use fingers to control an unruly person. Every mediocre martial artist knows how to use wrist locks and arm bars. Unless a suspect’s been dusted, those work.
