I know the kneelers are clueless, but through virtually all of recorded history, kneeling was a sign of respect and subservience. And educated people know that.

I know the kneelers are clueless, but through virtually all of recorded history, kneeling was a sign of respect and subservience. And educated people know that.

The point of kneeling or staying seated was that when the announcer asked everyone to rise for the anthem, those people refused to do so. It is not about kneeling. It is about refusing to stand and salute the flag. They were/are publically refusing to stand and show respect because they don't respect the flag or the constitution or the country. Or they are gutless white guys along for the ride.

It took my 15-year old niece to point out that kneeling is a particularly inappropriate way to protest over George Floyd’s death.

Duh! Kicking myself for not seeing that sooner.
