Solomon Simone, a 30-year-old dreadlocked artist whose nom de guerre is Raz, is the self-styled leader of the 300 or 400 CHAZians. Critics call him a “warlord.” But it’s been discovered that he sent out ugly homophobic tweets several years ago, so he could be deposed. Raz claims “someone is creating fake tweets from my page somehow.”
Many sympathizers make excuses for CHAZ. In a New York Times news story it was described as “a homeland for racial justice.” Liberal blogger Steve Leslie says of CHAZ: “As far as internal governance goes, there is none of course. . . . It’s probably most similar to Freetown Christiania which is an intentional commune in the borough of Christianshavn in the city of Copenhagen, Denmark.”
Christiania was formed in 1971, when hippie squatters took over a vacant 19-acre military base in Copenhagen and declared independence. While it’s seen changes, Christiania still exists and will mark its 50th anniversary next year.
It was - and is - an interesting experiment. But let’s hit the pause button before anyone thinks CHAZ is going to adopt what Christiania’s advocates call its “tenets of individual responsibility and communal harmony.” I have been to Christiania and gotten the full tour from one of its leading “citizens.” Here are the major differences I see:

As someone said, people who are most different snd non conformist will wear very ordinary clothing lest they be completely excluded from society. It is those who are absolute ordinary conformists who feel the need to have pink hair, as if buying a BLM sticker made them free of being racists all of a sudden, psychologically pre compensating for future motives of racist abuse, much like a pedophile approaching job openings at the kindergarten.

It is nothing like Freetown Christiania, and is not a homeland for racial justice. The NYT knows that, and deliberately lied. Since the NYT and the dems have given unqualified support to the occupied area in Seattle, they are 100% responsible for whatever happens in the area.

let them continue. show how they are failing. show the conditions, the weaponry being passed out (who paid for them?) publicize every time the police/rescue are denied or delayed entry to help people, when residents beg for intervention, tell them to vote out the democrats. do not use force - remember kent state? when it totally fails, THEN send in rescue teams, and document-document-document. then use this as an example of the evils of socialism.
Agreed. He’s the president, therefore he can’t be saying he’s going to do something and then not do anything.
I keep going back to the idea that since the covid scare began, he’s been letting the lefties do what they will so the less politically-aware people (voters) can see what they’re all about.
At some point the rule of law and national sovereignty begin to look like doormats though. I know how I would address the situation, but apparently the president has more restraint than I do. Not sure if that’s good or bad.
The last five months have definitely been a surreal experience.
