Oh never mind. ***
My Uncle died from a perforated bowel, the result of a colonoscopy gone wrong. It was not a quick painless death.

God Bless you, and will pray for a quick recovery. Back in July 2010, I ended up in the emergency room with a perforated bowel caused, they said by diverticulitis. I was faithful to my diet, didn't even eat anything with seeds, even though my gastroenterologist never told me I couldn't have them. I thought I was having a bad reaction to an antibiotic my urologist had prescribed for a bladder infection. After I took the first pill that Monday, two hours later I started getting bad pains on the left side. Felt better later, had supper, took the second pill, and the pain began again about 2 hours later, and they were worse than the first time. I crawled into bed, woke up at midnight, threw up my supper, and went back to bed. Pain was gone, and I slept well. Next day I called my Urologist, and told them about the problem. I had already stopped taking the pills, and they said they were going to prescribe something else. The only thing that I noticed was that I had mild tenderness in the pubic area. Two and a half days later, I was laying in bed, and for some reason I wondered: What if it isn't just a bad reaction to an antibiotic. It was about 2 a.m. I got up, got dressed and drove myself to the emergency room. I figured if it was a bad reaction, I'd be home in 2 hours. They did a C-Scan with the dye, and quickly diagnosed me with the perforation.
I had to have a temporary colostomy, which they reversed 3 months later. I was confined to the hospital bed for 7 days, and could only have liquids. Ended up with an incisional hernia where the stoma was, but couldn't have surgery until the first part of 2012 as my sister was in hospice care in 2011. They put mesh in during the surgery, but that doesn't guarantee you won't get another hernia. 2015, I had to have my gall bladder out. Couldn't do it laparoscopically because of the earlier surgeries. I've got another good sized hernia in a different place now, but the surgeon said as long as it isn't causing me any problems, I can live without having it repaired. At 72, I don't ever want to have major surgery again in my life if I can help it.

Best of luck; prayers up. As you probably know, Pak Sajak had emergency surgery for a bowel blockage late last year and he’s made a full recovery. Pat is older than you might think; he’s 73.
