It’s another contrived holiday like Kwanzaa and Cinco de mayo. Ethnic groups taking a minor occurrence and trying to make it a national holiday.

Some Texans got the word late that slavery was abolished and they celebrated. Now we’re all supposed to get excited and do nothing else on that date to “interfere” and disrespect this great holiday.

In 50 beats we will have Japanese, Chinese, VN, Filipino, Russian , and Central American holidays and Michael brown’s Birthday and EID and Ramadan, when Mo rode a horse to see Allah, and so forth..
