Some here may be familiar with a case from about a year ago of a woman living in a very wealthy Connecticut town (suburb of NYC) who disappeared during a nasty child custody fight.All signs led to the ex husband (video,DNA,etc) but he got bail and committed suicide before trial.Yet two people suspected of being accessories are still being prosecuted.

This Epstein thing seems pretty similar.In cases like these the defendant(s) can claim "but it was all done by the dead guy".
