[Vanity] Going to attend a BLM ‘protest’ in my city as observer - Advice?

Ive been made aware of a rally planned this Friday for a protest by the anti-police mob. The area of town is very conservative, blue-collar, and Trump-supporting. It is definitely an invitation to provoke. I want to attend to record some of the shenanigans that the activists will no doubt engage in. Should I bring a backup crew? Weapons?
Incidentally, there is a privately owned civil war museum right up the road from the park where the protest will occur. Im concerned that some of the anarchist will try to damage it.
If there are any other FReepers in the D/FW area who are interested in going as observers and recorders, Ill welcome all comers.

You have a point there.
(I'm thinking that if his objective is to stay alive, he would probably be better served by going to a prayer meeting, or staying home and taking a nap.)

If things get dicey you can always run to the Home Depot. Hide in the work boot section.

To understand the protestors, you should first walk a mile in their shoes. Then you are out of range and you have their shoes.

That was a fascinating book.
I wonder how it would work out these days.

If things get dicey you can always run to the Home Depot. Hide in the work boot section. There is a library nearby, so that is my fall-back.

Why? I can tell you what they will say and maybe do and save you the trouble.

Bring knee pads cause they going to get you to expose and denounce your white heritage and make you embrace white guilt, just saying.

Interesting question. It's a whole different world out there today, but who knows how that would actually play out these days. We still have some people guided by love out there, and some people guided by hate out there, wherever one goes.

The problem would be if the person were found out by certain groups, it would not end well.
Then again, considering the murder rate in Chicago this past weekend, it would likely be suicidal to try.
We live in a vastly different world these days.

The safest thing to do is to buy a long-range drone and look through it. It is wise to keep away from that motley group of misfits, deranged and feral losers. To say the least, their judgment is lacking.

I'd recommend getting what's called a bump cap, which is a hard plastic shell insert for a baseball cap to protect your head. The advantage of the bump cap is that it can be worn with an ordinary baseball hat without attracting unwanted attention.

Admire your courage.
But please don’t go unless you have five or six fellow “recorders” going with you.

Good points.
