Mitt Romneys father, George, said in 1967, when he was a U.S. presidential candidate, that the question of whether we are going to proceed on the basis of the Constitution would arise and at this point government leaders who were Mormons would be involved in answering the question.
Mitt Romney must be thinking about Mormons and threads at this extremely dangerous moment in our countrys history. I dont see how he could help it. The White Horse Prophecy is not the sort of thing you forget, even if, like me, you have long since left the faith. Romney, after all, is the most recognized Mormon on the planet, who also happens to hold a seat in the U.S. Senate where an impeachment trial would be held, a position of power foretold.

Exactly, it was clear from the time that Romney was governor of Mass. that he was just another Eastern liberal. Then he practically caved his campaign against Obama. His son even came out after and said his dad didn’t even want the job. I tried to warn people here in Utah when he was running for Senate that he was a fraud when he slyly implied that he was a Trump supporter. What a loser. I predict he will be kicked out of office when he comes up for reelection, or he may just not run again. Here’s hoping anyway.
Mitt will be 77 or so his next election. Its one thing to be that old and feel obligated to protect seniority, but as a junior senator, it might not be worth the effort.
I don’t know if your LDS or not, but what I hate is that all of the non-LDS people assume that we are in lock-step with Mitt Romney!
For some reason you can be catholic and not share Pelousi’s/Schumer’s politics .... but if you’re LDS then for some reason YOU MUST SHARE MIT ROMNEY’S POLITICS!
After seeing pics of the guy marching at a BLM rally .... I’m getting so that I can’t stand the look of the guy!
I doubt anyone here is stamping you with Mitt’s whimpery.
MGHinTN
Thankyou, that is the nicest thing you’ve ever said to me.
If Mitt had your tenacity, he might have been president.
Utah voted for the proven-creep, terrible Governor,
and imposer of RomneyCARE, but he was elected anyway.
Utahns share his backstabbing carpetbagging,
antiAmerican pro-whiteISIS politics.
I don’t care about Utahns .... I live in Wyoming!
What I’m talking about is the LDS people. I don’t know a single one that approves of Romney
awwww..... now you’re trying to choke me up! (jk).
Truthfully, MHGinTN regardless of our disagreements, you were the most impressive and (and respectful on occasion) that I butted heads against.
I admire your sincerity.
There are three kinds of Mormon 'prophecies':
1. The sun will come up tomorrow.
2. Vague connectrions between some events and words a Mormon may have said at on e time or another.
3. Oh; that's will be fulfilled in the future.
It may be due to teachings from headquarters such as the following:
Improvement Era article from 1945:
When our leaders speak, the thinking has been done. When they propose a planit is Gods plan. When they point the way, there is no other which is safe. When they give direction, it should mark the end of controversy. God works in no other way. To think otherwise, without immediate repentance, may cost one his faith, may destroy his testimony, and leave him a stranger to the kingdom of God.
Had not ELSIE been at all of his rallies...
I wonder just who votes for him??
Thanks Elsie ... but just because I live in Wyoming, doesn’t mean that I’m into cowboy poetry.
Elsie .... Sometimes you surprise me.
Just about the time when I peg you for my arch-enemy, you do something that shows that you have at least half of a heart.
The truth is, we all have much to learn about God. The best we can do is to love him and follow his commandments in order to keep our hearts pure so that we can receive inspiration from him line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little, there a little until we receive his grace and meet him face to face.
I like the stories that are told as well as the cadence of some of the stanzas.
It sure helps to look in the right places for that information.
The best we can do is to love him and follow his commandments in order to keep our hearts pure so that we can receive inspiration from him line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little, there a little until we receive his grace and meet him face to face.
I'll have to disagree.
WE receive His grace BEFORE we can learn of Him.
God's Word itself gives us the answer, and the reason.
Is the unbeliever who stands in a pulpit or teaches in a seminary classroom able to expound Scripture with understanding?
Is your unsaved friend, neighbor, or family member truly able to understand the Word?
First Corinthians 2:14 gives us the answer, and the reason:
But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Do you know when Joseph Smith felt that he had gone along the path long enough to finally decide the he was; indeed; saved by Jesus?
