State officials confirmed Monday that troopers with the Minnesota State Patrol slashed tires of vehicles during protests last week over the death of George Floyd.
In a statement, the Department of Public Safety said troopers slashed the tires so the vehicles could not be used to attack other people.
"There were instances when State Patrol troopers strategically deflated tires to keep vehicles from being used in attacks," DPS officials said.
Department officials also said it also allowed vehicles to be towed for evidence.
Dont matter
what is next?
taking narcotics on the job
while taking a knee to White ISIS and Antifa??
Mostly peaceful
But what if they were whitewalls?
Tires can be replaced. Engines, suspensions, and drive trains get expensive.
Slashed or deflated (i.e., let the air out)?
Tom Brady denies being in the state of Minnesota.
Headline says slashed.
Just further proof that those in positions of power believe they are above the law. Slashing tires because they might be used in a crime? This is an example for the contempt of a citizens rights. If I were to slash a tire, I would go to jail, and rightly so. But because someone in authority does it, it is A.O.K?
Doing thew slashing that that rioters wont do.
WHITEWALLS???? KILL THEM!
Dont Tread on Me!
When they pulled the black couple out of their car in Atlanta, one dressed in combat/swat stabbed one front tire, then the other, and then busted out the drivers window, to get to the driver.
Stabbed each tire twice = instant flat
Well you can cut the valve stem...and don’t damage the tire itself....Just cause the person who owns it a hardship.
Don’t know if they were using some kind of wire cutter on
the stem or was just punching a hole thru the sidewall.
Ironicly it's proof we actually have a major problem with the police. Unfortunately the rioters dilute this issue and muddy the waters making the true nature of the problem impossible to see.
The problem is we have a highly militarized police culture. This militarization has created a mindset that officers see every person as a threat rather than a citizen. At the same time we have too many laws.
This all started in the 70's with the advent of the SWAT team. SWAT teams planted the seed for the conflict we have today.
YES, I was stunned by the rambo actions of that National Guard Juggernaut fellow.
I bet OJ would take a stab at it.
