The FBI believes a Virginia man accidentally amputated his own hand while making an explosive device that may have been designed with the aim to kill 'hot cheerleaders'.
Cole Carini, 23, of Richlands, arrived at the Clinch Valley Medical Center on June 2 with a missing hand and shrael wounds on his neck and throat. Several fingers on his other hand were also missing. He claimed the injuries were the result of a lawn mowing accident.

For thousands of years, society has offered a remedy for men in his predicament. It’s called “a house of prostitution.” In parts of Nevada they are even legal. There are bound to be some in Virginia. If not, definitely in DC.

Many would-be bomb makers manage to spill some of the pressure sensitive explosive on the threads of the pipe bomb and then detonate it as they screw the cap on. Ooops!

While no doubt we have some new sources of mental problems around, I doubt the rate of insanity is much different than in centuries past.
What has changed is now we have cameras everywhere, and networks that distribute stories of the craziest actions to everyone more or less instantly. It’s a 24 hour news cycle, dontcha know.
It is wildly unsurprising that in a world of 7.8 billion people there are a few truly crazy actions every day.
