INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Indianas first election to feature widespread mail-in balloting concluded Tuesday with long lines in Indianapolis delaying the closure of in-person voting locations.
Nearly 550,000 voters requested mail-in ballots - more than 10 times the number cast during the 2016 primary - after coronavirus concerns prompted officials to delay the primary by four weeks from its original May 5 date.
Republican President Donald Trump and Democratic challenger Joe Biden easily won Indiana's delegates in their respective primaries.
Indianapolis voters faced waits of an hour or more at several voting locations throughout the day as Marion County had 22 sites open rather than its normal 270. Some candidates criticized county officials for that decision, but an election administrator said they had no other choice.

Some people questioned whether voters need to wear face masks inside polling sites. While state election officials encouraged voters to wear face masks, Hauer said they were not required to do so.
Some county election administrators and candidates have said they worried that thousands of mail-in ballots could go uncounted if they arrived at election offices after the noon Tuesday deadline. The huge increase in mail-in ballots also has election officials warning it could take more than one day to tally them all, possibly delaying determination of some primary winners.

I had no wait in line this morning around 11:15, but then Im in the suburbs of the suburbs.
It is unbelievable the political slaughter Trump is giving to both Joe Biden and the entire Democrat 2020 POTUS candidate Primary election in Indiana. Trump right now has a 150,000 vote lead over Biden and the Democrat POTUS candidate ticket!!! Biden is winning in RI...but not by much, very low turnout for Biden and Democrats in RI. NOt looking good at all for the both Biden and Democrats!!!
My scroller only shows percentages. Funny, the more votes they count, the lower Bidens % numbers go. Right now, with 30% counted, its Biden at 79%, followed by Bernie at 11%, then Mayor Pete (4%), Warren (2%), then Bloomberg, Klobuchar, Yang, Gabbard, and Steyer at 1% each.
You can get the vote totals by numbers on Politico (Election Results, June 2nd). another interesting fact.....Trump is leading Biden in the very Blue State of Maryland by some 2000 votes. Biden has won RI, but just by a sliver of a victory margin. Biden and the Democrats are not doing well this evening!!! Trump leads Biden in Indiana by some 150,000 votes!!!
Biden has little MoJo juice!!! We shall all soon see!!!
In Indiana, he better.
Write this down in your book....On November 3rd, 2020, Trump will carry South Dakota, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Maryland, New Mexico & Montana based on tonight primary elections performances. Biden will only carry Rhode Island (Maybe) and the District of Columbia!!! Not a good night for Joe Biden, even though he secured his POTUS nomination. Poor voting performance and turnout for Biden across the board!!!
Ooh! Here’s a thread about one of the 8 states holding primaries today. The only thread I could find.
