How much does AIDS and Gerbil extractions cost the economy?
Your accounting skills are appreciated in a measure commensurate with their accuracy.
I won’t even argue the article’s figure of $3.8 billion. That’s since 2015. The US GDP is approximately $20 trillion, or about $100 trillion total since 2015. $3.8 billion is an incredibly tiny blip of GDP, basically insignificant.
The gay lifestyle specific costs to American taxpayers for medical alone is much much more.
Well then, if it makes money it must be okay.
If the queers didn’t spend it on marriage ceremonies they would spend it on gay bath houses or glory hole clubs. Either way, the money would still be circle jerked into the economy.
Is that like WD40?
And aids and other STD’s has taken how much from our economy in the same time period?
What about all the angst, anguish, misery and despair suffered by NORMAL people as this shit was rammed down our throats by the black robes over 30 years with no hope of repelling it? The human race built up societal norms over three or four millennia and it was all flushed overnight by these deviants. Most normal people are stressed out and nauseated by all this crap.
That doesn’t surprise me. With all the frills, expenses and accoutrements, a typical gay wedding is undoubtedly only a little more gay(-looking) than a typical straight wedding.
Makes sense! I was just being mostly rhetorical. Saw it on the post after yours.
3.8 billion over a 5 year period. If every dollar of that went to salaries, in order to support 45,000 jobs, each job would have to pay less than $17,000 a year.
Maybe they mean 9,000 jobs a year for 5 years?
Fancy weddings are a massive waste of money. And hilarious considering half of the happy couples will get divorced (probably more for gays).
Do a simple church or courthouse thing and the reception at your house or moderately priced restaurant.
This is horse$h:+. It’s just money that was not spent on something else, not net new $$$$$$.
How much of that is divorce attorneys fees?
Yep - if they hadn’t spent the money on pretend weddings, they would have spent it on something else.
Net to economy - zero!
What’s that, 10 seconds of GDP per year?
They should also include the economic impact of gay divorces.
At least 10 billion in Lawfare suits against “Breeders” and the dreaded Christian’s not sucking up to the Gaystapo.
This article has a hard time making up it’s mind.
First it says, “Nearly 300,000 gay and lesbian couples have tied the knot since the US Supreme Court ruled in favor of same-sex marriage...”
Then it says, “The total has since more than doubled, with more than half a million gay and lesbian couples marrying in the United States.”
So which is it?
Let’s assume the 500,000 figure is correct, remembering it says “more than half a million...”
Let’s divide the 3.8Billion dollars generated via queer marriage by half a million:
$3,800,000,000 / 500,000 = $7,592.41. That buys a lot of Astroglide :)
