Is the Queen mort?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Right, but it's the big stick.
Even FCC Rules following the President's EO today are not going to be completed this year.
The other track is legislation. We won't get anything worthwhile unless we first take back the House.
The only immediate TEETH in the Executive Order would be stopping what he says are $billions spent by the Federal Government on these outlaw platforms.
I cannot predict how much or in what way the platforms will change their behavior this year. Do they start to behave; OR, DO THEY DOUBLE DOWN ON DEFEATING THE PRESIDENT (as China has done)????
Maybe some of our FReeQish lawyers can opine as to whether their is a possibility of injunction against their bad acting during the pendency of a judgement and before the election, assuming Barr does begin to litigate on antitrust or other grounds.
I’m just tired of having (relatively) nothing to read every day because of all the voices that have been sent to the digital gulags.
Your analysis makes sense.
Thanks for the links
Ive already had to re-examine so many falsehoods, whats another one?!
Ill take a look but doubt Ill travel down that hole.
If by 'overrated' you mean 'best', then I agree.
...and I really came to hate John Lennon and Paul McCartney.
I got you pegged for a Mitch Miller/Lawrence Welk kinda gal.
Oh, and Tom Fitton.
re: What’s up at Buckingham?
I believe the Queen is at Windsor and will stay there ‘til the Wuhan flu is given the all clear. Is that an answer to your ?.
They will double down. If Trump loses, all their problems go away and the takeover is complete.
Trump cannot lose.
Very, very interesting.
Hahahah.
Yeah. If by overrated you mean "One of the most influential musical forces in history."
Saying the Beatles were overrated is as profound as the infamous music critic of the 19th century who said: "Wagner's music isn't as good as it sounds."
::I am mesmerized by this guy....::
Why?
Thank you.
Gotta make that bet SUPER COSTLY.
SLIDE ALERT
I have always wanted to learn how to yodel. Seriously.
That is such a cool video, lots of subtle details to pick up on. If it were updated, having Barr and Durham would be nice, with the Punisher. And Rush should be in there, maybe holding a golf club, alongside Hannity who maybe could be wearing a muzzle. And Kayleigh should be swinging an axe at the fake news machine!
Yep. Let's see who blinks first.
The only thing I see in the EO that wont take months or even years to adjudicate in court is the cutting off of some federal fundage. My worry is they will sacrifice the money (they got enough to ride out through the election).
I hope there are other, quicker options.
If I were King, they might 'accidently' get shut down. Some intern might trip over the plug. By accident. Accidently.
Without meaning to.
WOW!! TODAY IS THE DAY TRUMP KILLED FAKE NEWS. HIS AND BARRS WORDS FROM THE OVAL OFFICE HAD SO MUCH TRUTH AND RIGHT. THEY TOOK OUR COUNTRY BACK FROM THE ENEMY. I AM IN SHOCK. TRUMP IS THE BEST PRESIDENT FOR THE PEOPLE OUR COUNTRY HAS OR WILL EVER SEE.— Randy Quaid (@RandyRRQuaid) May 28, 2020
I’m wondering if the threat of antitrust litigation might be an effective jawboning technique, now that the gauntlet has been thrown down. Sure, it won’t be long before they get some district court judge to issue a national injunction against enforcing anything, but then Trump will have some choices: expedite a legal challenge, or maybe just have Barr announce the opening of antitrust investigation of the entire industry. They’ll have to ask themselves, do they feel lucky? Do they really want to risk a lot of stock valuation on political gamesmanship? It’s easy to say the big money behind them will say it’s worth it, but now at least they’ll be forced to think about the cost of the consequences, up to and including years of litigation and the ultimate break-up up Facebook, Twitter, and the rest.
Meanwhile a legal battle will keep the issue front and center for 2020 and it won’t be easy for the Dems to come out on the side of censorship.
